2

Ease of removal

A tag that is easy to grasp has been installed in the front tab area. Secondary infection risk is reduced by simplifying garment removal and reducing the area of contact on the soiled front surface as much as possible.

To further reduce particulate adhesion, the sleeves of the top part and the hip area of the pant is packaged with the reverse side folded over (patent obtained). This allows the garment to be put on without touching the surface, which improves hygiene.

Procedure for Putting On the Garment

Depending on conditions, other personnel may help the user and provide assistance to check proper donning for the user objectively . The protective clothing should be put on completely in a clean area, with other necessary PPE items .

1

Preparation for donning

Remove all personal accessories including watches.
The user with long hair must fix it in order not to compromise any safety performance for proper donning, working and doffing.

2

Visual inspection of LIVMOA™ and other PPEitems

Remove LIVMOA™ and other items from their respective packages. Check all products are free of holes, scratches, or any other flaws. Any defective product should be avoided. Take a new one for safe and proper use of the PPE.

3

Donning LIVMOA™

Remove your shoes, pull down the front zipper and put on LIVMOA™ firstly by slipping both feet into the garment's legs, secondarily inserting both arms into the garment sleeves. Then, pull the zipper right up to the neck. Next, hook the finger insertion elastic cords attached to both cuffs on your middle fingers. These cords are to prevent sleeves from riding up and avoid exposure to infection risks.

4

Putting on foot gear

For Working outdoors

Put on shoe covers first by securely tightening the shoe cover laces.
Then put boots on over the shoe covers.

Note: A chair helps to perform this procedure.

For Working indoors

Put boots on first, then pull the pants hems outside the boots. Next, put the shoe covers over the boots, and tighten shoe cover laces securely.

Note: A chair helps to perform this procedure.

5

Putting on the face mask

Put on the face mask securely, pressing with fingers to shape the inside wire support to correctly align with the shape of your nose. Next put each elastic loop of the mask on top of the head and at the back of the head, making sure that the mask fits securely and tightly without any space between face and mask.

Note: If using a length-adjustable face mask, make sure that the face is thoroughly covered right down to the bottom of the chin.

Note: After putting the mask on, blow breath out to check if there is any breath escaping from the sides of the mask or around the nose or chin.

6

Wearing goggles

Put on the goggles securely, making sure no gap exists between face and goggles. If the goggles are loose, adjust the goggle band. If a user wears glasses, use tape to prevent them from sliding down.

Note: Check to see there is no gap. Use a mirror and/or ask for the assistant (co-worker who is equipped with the same level PPE) to check

6

Putting on the hood

Put on the LIVMOA™ hood and pull down enough to cover user's head, neck and hair by the hood. Next pull the zipper up to the top.

8

Attaching the chest cover

Peel off the double-sided tape of the lower tab (chest part) to attach the tab onto the right chest, making sure there are no wrinkles.

Note: For easy peel-off of the double-sided tape, start peeling off from the upper side of tab

9

Attaching chin cover

Peel off the double-sided tape of the upper tab (chin section) and attach the tab to cover the mask.

10

Sealing the front zipper

Peel off the double-sided tape from the upper section of the front zipper, as the user presses and adheres it from the top to the bottom to seal the zipper. Make sure that the double-sided tape is securely attached without any space or wrinkles and the zipper should be fully sealed.

Note: Peel off from the upper section of zipper to easily and properly attach double-sided tape

11

Wearing inner gloves

Pull on inner gloves to completely cover the cuffs of the LIVMOA™ protective clothing

12

Wearing outer gloves

Pull on outer gloves over inner gloves.

13

Sealing the connected pieces of PPE

Seal all gaps between the LIVMOA™ protective clothing and outer gloves, as well as around the hood.
Be sure tape is used to seal between the outer gloves and protective clothing.

Note: For easy peel-off of tape when removing protective clothing, fold back the tape's cut end slightly so that adhesive sides are contacting each other.

Note: Make this step easier to do by asking the assistant to attach the tape.

Completion of the donning procedure

After you have put on the PPE completely, ask the assistant to carefully check your appearance as you crouch down toward the floor or move your neck, to make sure the LIVMOA™ clothing is being worn correctly and securely.

Check Points
  • 1. Misplaced mask or gap between face and mask
  • 2. Tear or hole in the material
  • 3. Tear,n seams
  • 4. Tape peeling

GeneraI Procedurefor Doffing

Doffing the PPE may require the assistant depending on conditions. The assistant should help disinfect gloved hands of the user. For doffing probably contaminated PPE items, extreme care should be taken to avoid scattering or environmental contamination of hazardous agents. Should any PPE items become contaminated, it necessitates taking comprehensive decontamination measures such as a disinfectant shower before doffing.

1

Disinfecting outer gloves

Disinfect outer gloves by spraying the disinfectant evenly over both gloved hands and rubbing both hands together.
After this step, should the user need to touch any other places than specified, the disinfection procedure needs to be performed each and every time throughout the doffing procedure. The disinfectant spray bottle should also be disinfected for reuse.

2

Removing sealing tape

Peel off the tapes sealing the joint sections and discard in specified disposal containers/garbage bags. Peel off slowly to prevent contaminants from scattering. Should tape be hard to remove, do not peel off forcibly but ask for assistance, for which the assistant's gloves should also be disinfected.

3

Re-disinfecting outer gloves

After sealing tapes are removed, disinfect outer gloves once again by spraying disinfectant evenly over gloved hands and rubbing both hands together.

4

Taking off outer gloves

Take off the outer gloves by turning them inside out, keeping the user hands off from the outside of outer gloves, and discard in specified disposal containers/garbage bags.

5

Removing footgear

For Working outdoors

Remove boots, place feet in the undressing area, then unlace shoe covers, but do not remove shoe covers at this point in time.
Place removed boots in storage bag that can seal such potential contaminants in to transfer and disinfect appropriately. All removed boots should be disinfected together for reuse.
Note: Disinfect boots for reuse.

For Working indoors

Keep shoe covers unlaced.
Do not remove shoe covers at this point in time.

6

Disinfecting inner gloves

The assistant should spray the disinfectant to inner gloves for the user evenly over gloved hands as hands are rubbed together.
After this step, should the user need to touch any other places than specified, the disinfection procedure needs to be performed each and every time throughout the doffing procedure.

7

Removing the chin cover

Pinch the lower tab (for chest) with left hand and pull it off.

8

Removing the chest cover

Pinch the lower tab (for chest) with left hand and pull it off.

9

Unzipping the front zipper

Grasp and slowly pull the left and right upper tabs to unzip down to the chest part in order to prevent any contaminants from scattering.

10

Unzipping the front zipper(2)

Grasp and pull the left and right lower tabs open to completely unzip down to the bottom.

11

Re-disinfecting inner gloves

After the zipper is unzipped, the assistant should spray the disinfectant to the user's inner gloves evenly over the gloved hands as hands are rubbed together to disinfect inner gloves once again.
After this step, should the user need to touch any other places than specified, the disinfection procedure needs to be performed each and every time throughout the doffing procedure.

12

Taking the hood off

To remove the hood, grasp the hood's sides (not the front) and roll back from the front so that the hood turns inside out.

13

Removing clothing lower half

Remove the LIVMOA™ protective clothing down to the knees while keeping the inside turned out. Keep wearing the sleeve parts (hand parts).

Note: Sleeve parts should be removed when LIVMOATM is entirely removed.

Note: Should this removal procedure be difficult to perform by the user only, ask the assistant to help safely.

14

Taking off the foot section for complete removal while keeping wearing the face mask.

For Working outdoors

Sit on a chair, remove the clothing below the knees and shoe covers together, and place feet in the undressing area. The sleeve parts should not be removed at this point in time.
Then, pull off inner gloves and sleeves together. Discard the removed PPE items i.e., the LIVMOATM protective clothing, shoe covers, and inner gloves together, preventing re-contamination, into disposal containers/garbage bags set in the undressing area.

For Working indoors

Sit on a chair and remove the clothing below the knees together with shoe covers taking off from the heel parts, while still wearing boots. The sleeve parts should not be removed at this point in time.

Note: Should the removal procedure be difficult to perform, ask the assistant to help.

Next, pull off inner gloves and sleeves together. Discard the removed PPE items i.e., the LIVMOATM protective clothing, shoe covers, and inner gloves together, preventing re-contamination, into disposal containers/garbage bags set in the undressing area. Then take off boots and move to the clean area.

15

Disinfecting the user1s hands

After the removed PPE items have been discarded, and as both hands are being rubbed together, the assistant should spray the disinfectant (one for inner gloves disinfection, with red tape in the instructions) to user's hands evenly.

16

Replacing shoes

Change from boots into clean footwear.

17

Removing goggles

Close eyes, lean forward and slowly take off goggles by holding the back-elastic band and pulling into the front. Place the removed goggles in storage bag/container. All removed goggles should be disinfected together safely and placed in storage bags/containers for reuse.

18

Removing face mask

Close eyes, pinch two elastic cords together and bring the cords to the front while leaning forward to remove mask. Place removed mask in specified disposal containers/garbage bags for safe disposal. After doffing is complete, the assistant should disinfect the user's hands.

Doffing procedure for the PPE is now complete.

The user and the assistant should perform a final check each other to make sure no contaminants remained. This fully completes the PPE doffing procedure.
